Emma Frost is accustomed to occupying the top of the hierarchy, which is where she considers she belongs. That position is challenged by Justina LaGuardia, known as Superior, whose mutant ability is to exceed the power of any mutant she encounters. Having operated out of sight for years, Superior now moves into the open and onto a direct collision course with Graymatter Lane. The issue stages a contest between two characters used to winning, and asks what Frost is prepared to do when someone else is demonstrably the stronger.
