Ultimate Spider-Man Epic Collection: Venom

Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley continue their modern retelling of Spider-Man’s story. Peter Parker has already beaten Kraven, Doctor Octopus and a chemically enhanced Green Goblin, but the threat that hurts him most is a common thief wearing a Spider-Man costume, whose crimes turn the public against the real hero overnight.

Then the Ultimate line reinvents Venom. Peter reconnects with Eddie Brock, an old friend from childhood, and learns their late fathers worked together on a black, living substance designed as a bodysuit that heals disease and amplifies strength. When Peter tries to pick up his father’s research, the suit engulfs him, granting enormous power at a steep cost.

Collects Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) #28–39 and #1/2.
