Story

Brilliant stylist Marc Silvestri cements his reputation as an X-Men legend! This lavishly restored omnibus collection from the late-'80s heyday delivers new characters, new creative teams, and plenty of new problems for Marvel's mutant phenomenon.

The volume opens with the “Mutant Massacre,” in which the X-Men — together with new addition Psylocke — face the genocidal threat of Sabretooth and the Marauders. It ends with the time- and space-bending saga “Fall of the Mutants,” which sends the team to the Australian Outback — right into the crosshairs of the deadly Reavers. Rounding out this era are limited-series clashes against the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the devil himself, Mephisto; rare one-shots like Spider-Man vs. Wolverine; as well as a treasure trove of entries from the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
