Co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley are joined by Igor Kordey for a standalone issue of the series that inspired the FX/Hulu television adaptation. The story sets out the origins of the Abernathys, following the sinister twin sisters and their brother Percival across the years in which they built their fortunes and cultivated their mutual hostility. Family drama, greed and long-planned manipulation account for most of it, and the issue finally explains how the series' principal villains became what they are. Readable without the preceding nine issues.
