Strange Animals

An ordinary man stumbles into a hidden world of wondrous, supernatural beings - and unexpectedly finds a home there. After Green narrowly escapes a bus accident, he sees a nearly five-foot-tall raven that goes unnoticed by the other passersby. Plagued by further visions of impossible creatures, he follows the trail to a remote camp in the Appalachians, where he meets a centuries-old teacher and begins a training he could never have imagined.

Under the gruff guidance of his mentor, Green studies the secrets of a hidden nature - both terrifying and beautiful - and forges friendships with other outsiders. In doing so, he learns to see beauty behind the horror and finds clues to the forces that led him onto this path.
