The Punisher’s earliest appearances are gathered here, starting with his 1974 debut. Frank Castle, waging a one-man war after the mob murdered his family, first crosses paths with Spider-Man as a gun for hire manipulated by the Jackal. Their later run-ins drag in Tarantula, Nightcrawler, the Hitman, Cloak and Dagger and the Kingpin.

Frank also trades blows with Captain America and meets Daredevil in Frank Miller’s classic stories, beginning a long-running clash between two very different vigilantes. Frank’s first solo outings round out the book.
