Having reached the station, the group is finally within reach of Felipe's mother, though what waits underground is another matter. Descending into the subway at 14th Street in search of her, they encounter a new set of horrors, while above them the government begins carpet-bombing Manhattan in an attempt to deal with the giant Amikuk. The issue is chiefly concerned with what Felipe, Malik and Jeannie are prepared to do in order to come back up again.
