Neesha Sparks is an outspoken disabled community activist with a passion for costume design. Gabby Graciana is an optimistic surfer — and, like Neesha, new at school. When the two girls realize they love the same manga series, Navigator Nozomi, a friendship quickly takes root, deepened by a shared secret: neither of them ever finished it.

Together they set out across North Carolina to track down the remaining volumes, their quest intercut with the tales of Navigator Nozomi itself. Along the way, Neesha and Gabby find far more than books — acceptance, understanding, and love — in this heartfelt slice-of-life romance from writer Jeremy Whitley.
