The Lovers arc continues as Theresa attempts to outrun her past. Having left Limberlost on impulse, she takes shelter in Toronto with an old friend, hoping distance will separate her both from her circumstances and from the dark figure trailing her. The issue makes clear that neither flight nor concealment will hold indefinitely, and that some memories are too heavy to carry without help. Quietly observed rather than plot-driven, the chapter continues the series' interest in tarot, inheritance and the difficulty of leaving a family history behind.
