MIASMA MYOPIA

Miasma City is fraying. Its sentient machines of social control are breaking down, feeding on the dreams, boredom and paranoia of the people who live there. Myron and Zinnia, bound together in ways neither fully understands, trail a resistance movement that rides the freight trains.

Floyd Tangeman fills the book with striding skyscrapers, councils of clouds and faceless figures who speak in typewritten text, rendered in dense linework and collage. It is a surreal meditation on urban decay, the opioid crisis and the aftermath of America's wars in the Middle East.
