Story
Walter Simonson's celebrated Thor run continues, restored from his and Sal Buscema's original art.
Thor marches an army into Hel to free the innocent souls held captive by Malekith, and the realm's ruler answers with a curse that leaves him scarred for good, while the Executioner makes his legendary final stand. With Asgard shattered and leaderless, Loki keeps his brother off the throne by turning him into a frog, yet even an amphibian Thor proves worthy in one of Marvel's most delightful stories. Balder, meanwhile, is torn between love and duty to his people.
Collects The Mighty Thor (1966) 360-369 and Balder the Brave (1985) 1-4. 368 pages.
