Lu Tsao dreams of becoming a great adventurer. Her role model is her Ah-ma (grandmother), a traveling geozoologist. Ah-ma studies unique animals like dreamy cloud jellyfish, giant moonfish and playful moss goats. Nothing Lu loves more than reading Ah-ma’s letters about her expeditions – even though she and her mother struggle with the Cylian characters.

But suddenly Ah-ma stops writing. Lu is worried. When a nearby town needs a geozoologist, she decides to travel from place to place to look for her Ah-ma. Together with Ren, an old friend who does not reveal everything about her motives, she sets out. Along the way they want to help as many people as possible. In the process, Lu realizes how chaotic the world can be – and she must accept that both her Ah-ma and Ren are more complex than she has ever suspected.
