Thirteen years ago, mysterious alien monsters descended on Earth, but humanity's great protectors – the Divine Dragon Rangers – stood up to them. To this day, the fate of Earth seems to hang by a thread … or does it? In truth, the aliens were already subjugated in the first year and have since been reduced to clowns who must stage their defeats week after week for the entertainment of the masses. They are no longer real villains, but are forced to keep delivering a "monster of the week" for the Rangers to defeat. But one of the aliens has had enough: he plans a rebellion – from the inside – and wants to bring down the Dragon Rangers!
