When Dara Lund sees blood running down her legs at a nature camp, she thinks she’s dying. Homeschooled by an overprotective father after her mother died under mysterious circumstances, Dara doesn’t know the facts of life. "It’s the curse," her bunkmates tell her, without mentioning that it’s her period. "But we can break it … if you do everything we say." So begins a week of humiliation, in which naive Dara has to perform cruel tasks for their amusement.

Ten years later, at the start of their careers, the three tormentors feel cursed themselves — and they team up to find the likely source: a vengeful Dara. The hunt leads them to a bloody end. A dark thriller about bullying, trauma, and revenge.
