In the basement of Grimaldi Manor, the family patriarch murmurs a prayer and drives a blade into his own throat. Blood spills, a demon watches, and somewhere a woman tries to scream. Upstairs, three generations of the Grimaldi family and a snapping turtle fill the house with childhood shrieks and unkept promises.
