Daredevil Modern Era Epic Collection: Guardian Devil

In 1998 the Marvel Knights imprint relaunched Daredevil with filmmaker Kevin Smith writing and Joe Quesada on art, and the result became a modern touchstone for the character. A frightened runaway, a baby some believe will save the world, a former lover hiding a devastating secret and Foggy Nelson facing a murder charge all converge on Matt Murdock while a menace he cannot read closes in on Hell’s Kitchen.

David Mack then takes over the writing and introduces Maya Lopez, better known as Echo. She and Matt seem made for each other, until the Kingpin convinces her that Daredevil killed her father. Matt has to prove his innocence before the woman he is falling for takes her revenge.

Collects Daredevil (1998) #0–15 and #1/2.
