In the year 2050, humanity depends on a corrupt government to escape extinction, while a ravaged world is overrun by monsters. Driven by an artificial super-intelligence, an unscrupulous scientist has unleashed hell on earth and now plans to relocate humanity into a new dimension. To do so, he needs the help of 18-year-old, amnesiac Valerie.

On the search for answers, Valerie discovers humanity's dark future and the role of the Angelwings – government soldiers trained to kill monsters. With the start of boot camp, she comes under pressure to become the strongest Angelwing. But she can't do it alone: she must first earn her team's trust.

Caught in a web of secrets and lost memories, Valerie faces humanity's impending collapse – and the question of why Cortext turned her into a monster.
