The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - The Debutante Detective
Releases on 7/7/2026
Story
A clever mystery thriller in 1905 New York: Alice Roosevelt, daughter of President Teddy Roosevelt, teams up with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to save the president from kidnapping and an assassination attempt – right before international peace negotiations.
Holmes's British drawing-room finesse meets hard-boiled American noir in this pastiche for fans of Gareth Rubin's Holmes-and-Moriarty adventures. The notorious society lady Alice Roosevelt takes London by storm in 1905 when a letter containing sensitive details about the upcoming peace talks between Japan and Russia is stolen from her. The case pulls Holmes out of retirement, and with Alice's help the document is recovered.
Back in the U.S., Alice vanishes without a trace. At Teddy Roosevelt's request, Holmes and Watson travel to New York and discover that Alice has become a detective herself: going undercover, she is trying to foil a kidnapping plot against her father. Her warnings go unheard – until the president is actually abducted. Alice and the detective duo join forces, but during the pursuit Holmes too falls into the kidnappers' hands.
With wit and courage, Alice leads Watson to the rescue of the president – and of Holmes. But the danger is greater than they thought: in a race against time, they must prevent a bomb attack on the peace talks to keep the war from escalating on a global scale.
