Spirit of the Shadows

Cartoonist Nick Cagnetti and co-creator Daniel Ziegler present a superhero horror book that leans considerably harder on both halves of that description than the genre usually permits. Erik Leroux was once a mortal musician, devoted to his work and to the person he loved, and the volume traces what became of him. Visually the most inventive book either creator has produced, and one that treats its emotional register as seriously as its imagery.
