Sentry co-creator Paul Jenkins returns to the character he devised, opening a new era for a hero who has been an Avenger, a Dark Avenger and a Thunderbolt, and has also been forgotten and dead. The Sentry is back, and so is the Void, which is the recurring problem: a man with the power of a million exploding suns whose greatest danger originates in his own mind. High-stakes and, as ever with this character, more psychological than the power set suggests.
