Story

Unleashed barbarian! The legendary fantasy adventures of Conan in atmospheric black-and-white – wild, raw and artful as never before. This Classic Collection gathers chapters of the cult magazine that appeared in the 1970s outside the Comics Code, thereby enabling more grown-up themes, harder action and darker sword-and-sorcery stories.

Contains The Savage Sword of Conan 73–87, the Marvel Super Comics Special 21 as well as plenty of bonus material. In these epics, the Cimmerian meets kings, sorceresses, monsters and the minions of Thoth-Amon; the pirate Valeria also experiences a great adventure. The black-and-white art by exceptional artists such as John Buscema, Gil Kane and Alfredo Alcala comes especially into its own.

Additionally, the volume offers the official Marvel comic adaptation of the film Conan the Barbarian (with Arnold Schwarzenegger), implemented by Michael Fleisher and „Big“ John Buscema, coloured by Deborah Pedler and Lynn Varley – including photos and articles about the film. A foreword by Conan author Jim Zub as well as an additional adventure by X-MEN writing grandmaster Chris Claremont round off the package.
