Gambert 03

Gambert is a special beer connoisseur: secluded in an idyllic forest, he indulges in all earthly pleasures – above all in beer. There is a reason for that: Gambert is the God of Beer. He once gave up his divinity and thus survived the fall of the world of gods. Since then he has guarded the only access to the Otherworld, to which every form of mythology has been banished.

Conveniently, this passage lies in his rock cellar – well hidden among countless beer barrels. But the calm is deceptive: lately threatening apparitions of mythical creatures have been on the rise, and Gambert's tranquil life is being thrown out of joint.

The German artist duo Jan Suski and Dirk Seliger serve up with Gambert a hearty funny series that, thanks to the exquisite ingredients – fantasy homage, joy of storytelling and not least beer – tastes like an extraordinarily fine drop.
