The Midnight Garden

Because his brother has measles, Tom's parents send him to quarantine with his uncle and aunt in the city. For two weeks he isn't allowed to leave the house – and right at the start of summer, of all times. Boredom shapes his everyday life, until one night the old clock in the hallway strikes the thirteenth hour and a door opens to a hidden garden.

In this magical place Tom soon realises he is invisible – except to a girl named Hatty, for whom time seems to pass differently than for everyone else. A poetic tale to daydream and night-dream over, full of fine observations and life's little and great secrets.
