BATMAN DETECTIVE COMICS - GOTHAM NOCTURNE: OVERTURE

Bruce Wayne cannot shake a growing sense of dread — fear of his own inner demons and of his mortality — and for once the world's greatest detective cannot find its cause. At the same time, actual demons are stirring in Gotham's shadows, and an ancient melody drifts through the city at night, blurring the line between who is human and who is not.

As Batman follows the music and the creatures it seems to summon, he is forced to ask whether a demon has lived inside him all along, what it wants, and why it has not yet taken control. The opening act of Ram V's Gotham Nocturne saga, with art by Rafael Albuquerque. Collects Detective Comics #1062–1065.
