There is nothing Halu wants more than to spend the rest of his life in blissful romance with Fix. But over time, their shining love begins to fade under the pressure of everyday life – especially compared to the picture-perfect narrative Halu can see through Weedy's Neuronate device.

Enter Rouke: a hard-bitten drifter who offers Halu the chance for adventure. Halu is eager to join the brigand on the road, but Fix is not sure whether the price for that thrill won't be too high.
