What if Ellie had been the one to set off for Paradise Falls? This adventure – inspired by Disney·Pixar’s Up – retells the beloved story in a new way.

16-year-old Ellie McGill is fed up with her small-town life. To some, it might be idyllic – white picket fences, USO dances, and festival parades – but Ellie dreams of high mountains, dense jungles, and above all of one day traveling to the legendary South American landmark Paradise Falls. It’s only when she meets Carl (who promptly breaks a leg in the clubhouse) that she realizes her dreams don’t make her weird. Carl is her closest confidant, but lately something feels different between them – and new feelings are stirring in Ellie.

When Ellie lands a dream internship at the local zoo, its flashy millionaire owner organizes an expedition to Paradise Falls to collect new specimens. The star new addition – a bird he obtained from Charles Muntz himself – doesn’t adjust to its new home, however, and Ellie is entrusted with its seemingly hopeless care. While Carl advises her to keep her head down and not make waves, restraint was never Ellie’s strong suit. When the chance for a short-notice rescue mission arises, she seizes it.

Will Ellie’s impulsiveness be her downfall this time – or will she finally find the adventure she longs for … and at what cost?
