The Rocketeer: The Island

Based on a story by Dave Stevens, this collection sends the Rocketeer on the trail of Amelia Earhart. The year is 1938, a year after the pilot's disappearance, and Cliff Secord is recruited to lead a search-and-rescue expedition he initially wants no part of. He changes his mind on learning that the destination is the same island Betty is travelling to with the photographer Marco. What follows is a pulp adventure in the classic mould, with Cliff pursuing the century's most famous unsolved mystery while trying to win back his girlfriend, and finding that the island holds more than either of them expected.
