Avengers Collection by Kurt Busiek

In the late 1990s, comic legends Kurt Busiek and George Pérez relaunched the Avengers series and shaped an entire era with epic blockbuster sagas. A team around Captain America, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Thor and the troubled Carol Danvers faces opponents such as Ultron, the Thunderbolts, Morgana Le Fay and the Kree. In addition, Kang takes the Avengers on a journey across Avengers history.

After the events surrounding Onslaught, the heroes return to their reality in 1998 and reform. Veterans like Vision, Giant-Man, Wasp and Hank Pym fight side by side with up-and-coming heroes such as Firestar and Justice. In different formations, the Avengers face off against the Squadron Supreme and the Thunderbolts and pass cosmic trials.

Of particular note is the highly acclaimed maxiseries Avengers Forever by Kurt Busiek (with Roger Stern) and artist Carlos Pacheco, in which a team from different eras faces the conqueror Kang - a time-spanning spectacle from the Wild West to the end of time.
