After a near-fatal ordeal in Iron Heights, the Flash is drawn down into the subatomic world of Ray Palmer — the Absolute Atom. But Palmer isn't the only unfamiliar face waiting for Wally in this shrunken realm.

Writer Jeff Lemire uses the encounter to introduce another major DC figure into his reimagined universe, expanding the cast around his fugitive speedster as the story pushes further from anything the classic Flash mythos has shown.
